Barnett 2004 Holiday Greetings Page 3

Perhaps the high point of the year was the party celebrating Lee's parents 65th wedding anniversay. Most of the Barnett clan were able to join in the festivities.

We had a surprise for them: Ragtime pianist Bob Milne helped us celebrate by filling our home with his fabulous renditions. The house rocked!

Lee worked really hard to make the anniversay party a successful event.
He worked hard at lots of other things, as well, this year. Among his accomplishments are that he researched and wrote 6 articles on Michigan History. He also completed his 6 years of research and writing for his latest book, "A DRIVE DOWN MEMORY LANE: The Named State and Federal Highways of Michigan." It is 288 pages describing 250 Michigan highways and what their names are all about. It was published by Priscilla Press of the Allegan Forest and is being distributed by both them and Wayne State University Press.
The sad news of the year was the death of Dot's Mom, shortly after her 94th birthday. She was able to stay in her own home, and with her family around her, she left us with the love she always carried for all who knew her.
