February Orchid Show and Sale
Each year, during the last weekend in February, the Greater Lansing Orchid Society sponsors an orchid show and sale. This year, 2023, that weekend falls on February 25 and 26. It will be held in the Plant and Soil Science Conservatory on the Michigan State University campus. WHEN IS THIS EVENT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
Saturday:
Sales open at 11:00
Exhibits open at the conclusion of judging, about 12:00 noon
The show closes at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday:
Sales and Exhibits open at 11:00 a.m.
The show closes at 4:00 p.m.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THIS EVENT?
Various exhibits of orchids in bloom, offered by:
A variety of regional Orchid Societies including GLOS
The Show's Vendors
Floral arrangements created by individuals
Orchid photography and art on display
Free educational talks, workshops and advice on caring for orchids
On Sunday, there will be a special session for photographers: From 9 - ll am, before the show officially opens, photographers may photograph unhindered by other guests. Tripods are welcome during this time.
And of course, hundreds of orchids for sale by many Commercial Orchid Growers of the region (See list below)

11:30 am -- Dea Bishop "Orchid insect pests" – Room A186
1:00 pm -- Tour the Show with an Orchid Judge -- Doris Asher (meet in Conservatory, not classroom)
2:30 pm -- Jenny Bond "Floral designs with orchids" – Room A186
