This year's Spring flood nearly spilled into the pond. The flood lasted nearly two months, with the result that most of the grass near the river drowned, and did not revive.

| And then, on Nov. 29 - 30, a heavy wet first snowfall of the year made for a Winter Wonderland, but with much devastation for the mid-Michigan trees. We woke up to this: |
