Early this spring, we decided we needed a little help around the yard. So we purchased a John Deere Gator, which soon became a very useful tool for yardwork. It has made many trips around the yard, being filled up with broken branches and plant debris for the burn pile. It also saves legs and backs for many trips down to the pond and river for keeping up with landscaping needs. Since it was too big to fit into our existing barn, and our two new Honda Fits filled our garage, we had to have a new garage built for the Gator. It sits at the end of our driveway behind the greenhouse.

So when the Slovenia McKenzies came for their family reunion, everyone got a chance to sit in the driver's seat (as long as Lee was there guiding). Ella was happy as long as Janja drove, but Luka was on cloud 9 when he was behind the wheel. Yes, dad Rob had a turn.

Grown-ups are just big kids, as you can see from the expressions on Barb and Andy's faces.

But of course, no visit to the Barnetts is complete without a session at the player piano. We'd all be singin' the blues! -- As per Tom McKenzie:

I woke up this morning
Picked me out a roll
Made sure it was a good un
Put her in th player piano

Got me a little woman
And She can be real mean
Dont mess with her Orchids
Or badmouth Galien
